Is my child too young?

No, your child is not too young! In fact, we believe that introducing children to the water at an early age can have numerous benefits. We offer private lessons and our program offers Baby & Me Group Classes designed specifically for infants as young as 6 months.

What should I bring to my lesson?

We recommend at least a towel, sunscreen, water, and a swim diaper if needed. Swim caps and goggles are optional.

Does my child need to be potty-trained?

Typically, we recommend that children who are not yet fully potty trained wear a swim diaper during lessons. This helps maintain a clean and safe environment for everyone involved.

What is the cancellation policy?

You must cancel at least 24 hours before the lesson, or the full service will be charged in order to allow the office enough time to fill the slot. 1 Grace Period is allowed per customer.

Is there a make-up lesson policy?

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. If you need to miss a lesson, we offer a make-up lesson policy. Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance, and we will do our best to reschedule your lesson at a convenient time. This policy ensures flexibility while maintaining the quality of your learning experience. Feel free to contact our office to discuss and arrange any necessary make-up lessons.

What if I am running late?

Please contact your coach or the office. The lesson will still end on schedule regardless of how late the start.

What happens if there is bad weather?

In the event of bad weather, our instructors will contact you approximately an hour to 30 minutes before the scheduled lesson. If lightning is detected within 10 miles of the pool, we prioritize safety and will cancel the lesson. The good news is, we offer a weather cancellation policy, and you can rebook at no cost. Your safety and satisfaction are our top priorities, and we appreciate your understanding in such situations.

What if my child is afraid of the water?

Our instructors are trained to work with children of varying comfort levels and will take a gentle and patient approach to help your child feel more at ease. We encourage you to communicate any specific fears or concerns with our instructors before the lessons begins.

Do you offer adult lessons?

Yes! we offer adult lessons. Swim Sharks accommodates learners of all ages, and our instructors are experienced in working with adults at various skills levels.

Do you offer special needs lessons?

Yes, we do offer special needs lessons! We understand that each individual has unique requirements, and we’re here to tailor a custom package or lesson that meets your specific needs. Please feel free to call our office, and we’ll be happy to discuss and create a personalized plan that ensures a positive and supportive swimming experience for everyone. In certain situations, parents may be required to get in the pool, especially for our younger participants or those who might benefit from additional support.

How do I register for lessons?

To register for lessons, simply visit our registration page, where you can fill out a form with your details. Once submitted, the Swim Sharks office will promptly give you a call to discuss and schedule lessons that align with your specific needs and preferences. How are instructors trained?

All our instructors undergo rigorous training to ensure the highest standards of safety and instruction. Each instructor is American Red Cross certified, with certifications renewed every two years. Additionally, before onboarding, our trainers undergo a comprehensive one-month training program, ensuring they are well-prepared to deliver quality lessons. What is the class size for group lessons?

Group lesson sizes typically range from 3 to 4 kids. This allows for a focused and personalized learning experience, ensuring each child receives the attention they need. We believe in maintaining small class sizes to enhance the quality of instruction and promote a positive learning environment for every participant.

Can I request a specific instructor?

Yes, you are welcome to request a specific instructor. However, please be assured that all our instructors are highly skilled and dedicated to providing quality lessons. We take pride in our team’s expertise, ensuring a positive and effective learning experience regardless of the instructor assigned.

How long are the lessons? Can I extend mine?

Our standard lessons are 30 minutes long, ensuring a focused and beneficial learning experience. If you’re interested in extending your lesson for personal time or additional instruction after a group lesson, we offer a 15-minute extension for a fee of $35. This option allows for extra practice and one-on-one attention.

What is the age limit for adult lessons?

No limit! We welcome participants of all ages and proficiency levels in our adult lessons. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, our instructors are here to support you on your aquatic journey.

What is the payment schedule for lessons?

When you book lessons with our office, we ensure a secure and convenient payment process. We collect your card information, guaranteeing safe billing, and promptly send an invoice for your records. This streamlined process is designed to make your experience with us as smooth as possible. Additionally, we offer flexibility by accepting payments through Zelle, cash, and checks.
